🚨 Weather Alert for Our Campers & Guests 🚨
The safety of everyone at the campground is our top priority. With the potential for severe weather on Tuesday, July 21, we want to make sure everyone knows where to go if conditions become dangerous.
📍 Safe Shelter Locations:
• Shower Houses
• Church Basement (please ask a staff member for assistance)
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these locations and remain weather aware throughout the day. If severe weather approaches, follow all instructions from staff immediately.
Your safety is our highest priority. Stay alert, stay informed, and let’s all work together to keep everyone safe!!

Please stay alert! 🚨TUESDAY SEVERE/DAMAGING WIND THREAT‼️- Numerous severe thunderstorms are expected across a large region, with large swaths of STRAIGHT-LINE WINDS (up to 70mph🌬️), Large Hail, and possibly a few tornadoes🌪️during the afternoon & evening hours of Tuesday.
🔴A greater area of severe/destructive wind threat may exist across Eastern #Kentucky, #Ohio, #WestVirginia, & #Pennsylvania. This region will be ahead of an unseasonably strong upper jet stream with over 3000CAPE, effective shear of 50+kts, and straight hodographs. All of these are textbook indicators of multiple wind swaths (Derecho Possible) from Tuesday afternoon and well into the overnight hours.
PLEASE BE WEATHER AWARE and keep an eye on weather forecasts as we get closer. Advised to not be sleeping naked. 🙂

⭐ Meet Shane - Owner, Maintenance Man, and the Guy Who Keeps It All Going! 🔧
Behind everything we do is Shane, the owner and one of the hardest working people you’ll ever meet. While he may officially be the owner, around here he wears many hats - leader, maintenance man, repair expert, problem solver, and the person always willing to step in wherever he’s needed.
If something breaks, needs fixed, or isn’t working quite right, chances are Shane is already on it. From handling repairs and maintenance to making sure everything runs smoothly day after day, he’s constantly working behind the scenes to keep things going. He’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves, get his hands dirty, and put in the hard work it takes to make sure the job gets done right.
What makes Shane such a great owner is the care and dedication he puts into both the business and the people around him. He’s built more than just a workplace - he’s created an environment where employees feel supported and customers feel welcomed. His strong work ethic, leadership, and willingness to help out in every area never go unnoticed.
No matter how busy things get, Shane is always there making sure everyone and everything is taken care of. The long hours, hard work, and commitment he puts in every single day are a huge part of what makes this place what it is.

When Sherri isn’t at work, you can usually find her outdoors doing what she loves most. She enjoys hiking through the mountains, riding 4-wheelers, and going offroading whenever she gets the chance. Whether it’s exploring new trails, getting muddy on an adventure, or spending time outside enjoying nature, Sherri is always ready for excitement and making memories.
Her adventurous spirit, positive energy, and friendly personality make her a great addition to our workplace, and we can’t wait for everyone to get to know her better.

Raelynn is a sophomore at PCHS and is spending her first season with us at the campground 🏕️ Whether she’s greeting guests at the guard shack or serving up delicious food in the store , Rae’s positive attitude and strong work ethic make her such a valuable part of our team. We absolutely love having her on staff! 💚
When she’s not at the campground, Rae stays busy with volleyball, cheer, and several school clubs , bringing the same dedication and energy to everything she does. After high school, she plans to attend the University of Tennessee to pursue a degree in Nursing 🩺. Until then, she’s excited to see what this campground season has in store! ✨

Felicia has been a member of our team for two seasons! You’ll find her here on weekend mornings, serving up delicious biscuits and gravy or a breakfast burrito alongside Shane. Her dedication and work ethic sure do shine through here! When she’s not at the campground, she enjoys spending time with her children. She consistently goes above and beyond for both our guests and everyone else here, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our crew.
If you haven’t had the chance to try one of her tasty breakfasts yet, be sure to stop by-we promise you won’t regret it!

As our season is picking back up now-let’s meet all the members that you’ll see this year. Some familiar and some new!
🌟 Meet Brooklyn! 🌟
Brooklyn is a senior at PCHS and this is her fourth season with us at Callies Lake and Campground! She’s one of the friendly faces you’ll see checking in campers, helping with reservations, serving up food, and helping keep everything running smoothly. From behind the counter to making sure every guest has a great stay, Brooklyn’s hard work and positive energy make her a big part of our team.
When she’s not at the campground, Brooklyn stays busy with softball, cheer, and FCCLA, showing the same dedication and team spirit she brings to every shift. Next year, she’s headed to EKU to study Elementary Education, but for now, she’s all about making this season one to remember!
Come say hi to Brooklyn when you visit-she’s always ready to meet and talk to new people!
